In recognition that ONA Local 8 now has other disciplines, we have renamed our bursary “Advancement of Nursing through Education” to reflect our expanding diversity. ANY Local 8 member in good standing may apply for reimbursement of education costs related to their discipline. The maximum amount of the bursary is $1000.
Members applying for the bursary will submit a short essay on how this education will advance their practice and the positive effect on healthcare.
The monies will be paid with submission of receipt showing successful completion of the course and an appropriate taxation form will be generated.
A winner will be selected by the Local 8 Nursing Week Committee and will be announced online as of December 31, 2025.
Deadline for submission is December 1, 2025
