This bursary will be used to cover the cost for a member to attend an ONA education or event.
Any Local 8 member in good standing who wish to apply will send in a short essay on what ONA has done for them and why ONA is important to all members.
The nurses week committee will choose the member from the applications received.
The award winner will select an education or event in consultation with the Local Coordinator.
Attendance of this event is to occur in 2025.
The maximum amount covered will not exceed $2000 for meals, accommodations, salary, and travel. Only salary will be covered if the event is hosted virtually.
The winner will be selected by the Local 8 Nursing Week Committee will be announced online as of December 31, 2025.
